Curry Up Now: Flavorful Indian Cuisine with Gluten-Free & Vegetarian Options

Had the best experience so far at Curry Up now with Bonnie who helped us. She kept checking in to see if everything was good and also made suggestions. The food was good. However, the 5 star is for Bonnie!!

My first time trying an Indian Burrito and damn, SO MUCH FLAVOR! Actually, everything we tried at Curry Up Now was bursting with flavor! I highly recommend any of the burritos or bowls and definitely get the Bhel Puri for an appetizer because it was so refreshing. This place also came out with some Indian-Chinese dishes on the menu. The San Jose location has its own full bar called Mortar & Pestle attached and oooh-wee are the cocktails strong! * Samosas * Bhel Puri * Lamb Bowl * Lamb Burrito * Chili Chicken * Cocktails: Mango Sangria, Bangalore Old Fashioned, Inflight Smoker, The Mortar & Pestle, and Ambika's Grove

At this location, Curry Up Now and the bar called Mortar & Pestle merge together to give you a whole experience. We love going to different places and getting inspiration from their cocktail menus. Drinks: (1) The Mortar & Pestle - 10/10 This is their signature drink and it is so tasty and goes down very smoothly. Will be ordering this again. (2) Electric Lemonade - 6/10 It was a bit bland. We expected there to be a bit more of the lemonade taste. The appetizers that we selected paired really well with our drinks: (1) Dahi Puri - 7/10 I wish it had a bit more coriander and tamarind flavor to it. (2) Punjabi Chicken 69 - 10/10 You can never go wrong with this. This was really good and paired really well with our drinks. Will be ordering this again. The server was very attentive with our order at that start. I wish they were actively filling out water cups though or at least provided us with a water jug.

A very good place for family dining experience with a huge Indian menu. You would find a lot of vegan and #indo vegetarian options here. Pav bhaji - the healthier version of the pav bhaji. - it did not taste wonderful like a roadside dish. But, I was happy as it looked extremely healthy, exactly like I would prepare at home -3/5 Thali - the thali is full. And if you are a curry fan, like me, you would enjoy the collection of 3 full cups of curry/dal in teh thali and you would be full with that - 3/5 We had cheese crackers kind of thing. They were really good, we went for another one. Their kulfi icecream was amazing and we had loads of it. A nice try in the north of San Jose. The order and payment is directly on the phone. The service is a little slow, prolly because of the crowd. But we had enough of fun because of the group we went with.

Good place. I like the Decor but service can be slow. You can order on phone by scanning the code on the table but be aware the system charges some extra amount that supposedly gets refunded later. Food is good, thali portions are very generous. We tried: Vegetarian thali- very good Meat sweats- my colleague thought the meat was chewy Samosa chaat plate- very good
